At COMOT Motors, every motor we deliver goes through a strict and carefully designed testing process. We strongly believe that reliability begins with quality control, and therefore, routine tests are always included as part of our standard offering for all motor ranges, regardless of power or voltage level.


Standard Testing Process
For medium voltage motors, we go even further: both routine tests and full type tests are included in the scope of our offer. This means that our customers receive not only the baseline quality verification but also a complete assurance package that proves motor performance under different operating conditions, ensuring long-term reliability in the toughest environments.


Routine Tests
As part of our commitment to quality, all of our motors undergo routine tests in accordance with IEC standards.
Our standard routine tests cover:
* Measurement of winding resistance according to IEC 60034-1,
* No-load test (input power, current, losses at no load) according to IEC 60034-2-1
* Locked-rotor test according to IEC 60034-2-1
* Insulation resistance according to IEC 60034-1
* High voltage test (Dielectric withstand) according to IEC 60034-1
* Functional check of auxiliaries according to IEC 60034-1
Full Type Tests
At COMOT Motors, we ensure the highest level of quality and reliability by including full type tests for all medium-voltage motors up to 1500 kW and 6 kV as a standard part of our offer, at no additional cost. This allows our customers to benefit from a complete performance validation package, demonstrating compliance with international standards and ensuring reliable operation under real industrial conditions.
For motors with higher power ratings or voltage levels beyond these values, full type tests are available as an optional service, depending on project requirements. This flexible approach allows us to optimize cost efficiency while still providing customers the assurance of additional testing whenever their applications demand it.
For medium voltage motors, COMOT provides additional full type tests, which may include:

* Vibration measurement
* Noise level test
* Overload test
* Efficiency and power factor verification
